HOW IT WORKS

In order to join the club, we require that all clients create an account on our booking platform and submit requests there!

1) To access our booking platform, click “Book Now” in the top right corner of the home page or just below!

2) Enter your email and password. If you do not yet have an account, the system will prompt you to create a password.

3) Create your account and include all personal contact info (including your instagram handle!) and an emergency contact.

4) Create a profile for your pup. Please provide: weight, breed/mix, any allergies, provide a photo of your dog’s vaccination record (see: requirements) and specify whether or not your dog is spayed or neutered.

  • you will need to manually enter the EXPIRY dates of your dog’s vaccines

  • click the small grey square with the corner folded down to upload PHOTO PROOF of your dog’s vaccination certificate. Without proof, we cannot accept your booking request (you can take a photo or upload a pre-existing photo of the vaccine certificate, or upload a PDF emailed from your vet.)

  • the photo must show your dog’s name, the name of the vaccine and the date they received the vaccine.

  • all clients must also sign our TERMS AND CONDITIONS waiver on the online platform before any bookings can be accepted.

5) Save your info, and you are ready to request a daycare or overnight booking!

Please note that daycare is subject to availability. To secure your space, please book in advance.

Once you successfully submit a booking request, your spot will be saved. If there is no space available, the booking system will notify youthat you have been added to our waitlist.

We recommend making your bookings with about a week’s notice.

First time visits by new Club Members: please make your booking AT LEAST 72 hours in advance to assure time for management to verify vaccination forms. Please also be aware that we do not do hour long trials, your pup’s trial visit IS their first day and you are expected to be available to pick up your dog right away should there be any issues.

We work on an honour system: we trust that people who know of potential risk of aggression from their dog do not want to send their dogs to an open concept daycare and risk the health and safety of other pups. We do not accept dogs with a history of aggression and reserve the right to refuse service to any pups who display aggressive behaviour, excessive barking, excessive humping, or tackling. Please note that you, the dog parents, are liable for any intentional harm your dog may exhibit, and that our trusted staff at The Canine Club are at liberty to decide what is and isn’t an intentional attack.

REPEATS

Should you like to select 2+ days for your dog to come regularly, please select the circular arrow  (ADD ICON) and specify what days you would like to book “repeats” for and until what date.

Should you make a booking and see that the “booking request is confirmed” please note that our system automatically holds that space for you. If there is no space for the dates selected, the system will tell you that you have been waitlisted.

If you are waitlisted, Please be sure to wait for confirmation, otherwise please rest knowing your space is secured for your pup.

We are sure to always have one staff trained in Canine first aid and CPR scheduled for our daily field trips.

REQUIREMENTS

Please bring your dog in a harness on a leash (we do not accept retractable leashes as they are hazardous). Your dog must also have an ID tag attached to a collar – should you not have an ID tag or collar, please request one of our Canine Club ID tags and collars upon drop off, for 10$

You must bring your dog in one of the following Harness options.

  1. Petsafe easy walk - deluxe version (with padding) available through an Amazon link at: leclubcanin.com/shop (The standard version comes in smaller sizes and is also acceptable)

  2. Nahak no pull dog harness - made in Canada Nahak.ca

  3. Head harness - gentle leader or halti accepted- available for purchase on amazon.ca and in most local dog shops (i.e. Doghaus, Global, Little Bear)

We require that all pups who join the club be up to date on all base vaccines and additionally the bordetella vaccine (or alternatively the Broncho Shield oral immunization for Kennel cough). Please note that many vets do not give the bordetella vaccine unless specifically asked to, so please double check this info before saying your dog is “fully vaxed”.

Any dogs above 1 year of age must be spayed or neutered in order to Join the Club.

LOGISTICS AND TIMING

Unlike other doggy daycares, we pride ourselves on our fun-filled days that include a daily trip to our PRIVATE dog park, RAIN OR SHINE! It is a fully fenced, 10,000 square foot field, with access to plenty of shade and fresh water. Field trip time varies given the season and temperature. Weekend daycare does not include a field trip.

Please note: while we do our best to keep the dogs clean, we cannot guarantee a clean dog at the end of the day. On very muddy days, we may make the effort to return from the park early to hose the dogs down in the back yard with warm water. Any dogs who are fearful or resist being hosed down WILL NOT BE FORCED to be cleaned.

BOARDING

Only dogs who have visited the club for at least 2 full days of daycare in the 30 days preceding any boarding booking requests are eligible to have their request accepted. All dogs are also required to come for 2 full days of daycare in the 30 days preceding the booking in question (if the booking request is made within the same month of the booking in question, only two full days are required, though we strongly recommend more regular visits) . This will help ease the transition process for our lovely staff and your pup!

Please note that the 65$ boarding rate includes daycare on the day of the sleepover – the following day is not included. Should your dog stay for the day on the last day of their boarding booking, you will be charged for the additional day of daycare (40$ +tx).

What we need for boarding: clear feeding instructions and preferred sleep accommodations. Dogs are only crated upon request or upon unforeseen behavioural issues. We ask that you bring your dog’s bed, harness, leash, collar, food, and any medication or special treats they may need. Please specify any known allergies.

Dogs are always supervised when at the club. Should your dog board with us, they will be sleeping either loose in the secure playroom at the club or in a crate. We always recommend crate training your dog to ease their transition when sleeping in a new environment as it can help provide them with a sense of safety and familiarity, even in new places or situations. When sleeping at the club there is always a staff on duty on site. Periodically and at our own discretion, we may bring the dogs to our personal homes should we have any staff shortages or should we simply feel that the dog might have a better experience in a different environment. This is not a guaranteed service that we offer and is something we choose to do at our discretion.

In case of emergency, your pup will be treated by the closest available vet. Please note, we are not financially responsible for any injuries that may occur under our watch. Should your dogs cause intentional harm to another dog, you are responsible for the veterinary bills of the victimized dog.
